Technology at SCA
Security Collection Agency’s in-house multi-component data processing system contains all of the elements necessary to serve a wide variety of client needs. The necessary pieces of hardware and software are in place to allow SCA a nearly unlimited range of compatibility with those of its clients that utilize computers in their day-to-day accounting and customer tracking operations. The SCA systems approach to collections has been operational and undergoing continual improvement since 1974. All equipment and software are owned exclusively by ABS and operated in a secured location at the Edenton, NC headquarters.
One of Security Collection Agency’s greatest strengths is that it is not dependent on the computer hardware and software provided by collection system package vendors. Most collection agencies are at the mercy of a collection system developed and marketed by third-party software providers. From the very beginning, SCA has written its own computer programs and procedures that support its collection effort. This has enabled SCA to quickly respond to innovations in collection techniques as well as tailor-design collection procedures on the basis of each individual client's needs. The collection software consists of more than 1,000 applications developed completely by our in-house staff of programmers, which allows SCA to be totally self-supportive.
Much effort has been placed on developing methods to streamline the task of placing accounts and reporting payments back to the client at month's close. Several methods currently in use are the placement of accounts by Email, FTP site (File Transfer Protocol) and Standard US Mail keyed entry from hard copy listings. SCA will custom design a system of placement that will provide a trouble free interface, and at no additional cost to its clients.
